# Usage and limits

> Inspect runtime minutes, concurrency, resource limits, and retention allowance.

Leamout calculates an organization's effective resource limits from its subscription.

```bash theme={null}
curl -sS "https://api.leamout.com/v1/limits" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LEAMOUT_TOKEN"
curl -sS "https://api.leamout.com/v1/runtime-usage" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $LEAMOUT_TOKEN"
```

These endpoints require `commercial:read`.

## Effective limits

`GET /v1/limits` returns fields such as:

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `max_concurrent_calls` | Organization-wide simultaneous call admission limit |
| `max_voice_agents` | Number of Voice Agents permitted |
| `max_sip_trunks` | Number of SIP trunks permitted |
| `monthly_runtime_minutes` | Voice Agent runtime allowance for the billing period |
| `retention_days` | Maximum configurable retention days |
| `period_start`, `period_end` | Effective allowance period |

## Runtime usage

`GET /v1/runtime-usage` returns `used_seconds`, `allowance_seconds`, `unlimited`, and the period timestamps.

When the monthly allowance is exhausted, Leamout rejects **new** Voice Agent sessions. It does not terminate an already-active call solely because the allowance is subsequently reached.

A `null` limit represents an unbounded value in the effective limit model; do not interpret it as zero capacity. Entitlement gates are separate from numeric plan limits.
